WAM London, Apr 17th, 2012 (WAM)--H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah toured yesterday British University of Exeter, one of the best universities in the United Kingdom.

Sheikh Sultan met the higher administrative staff of University of Exeter at a banquet hosted by the university in his honour.

Chancellor of University of Exeter Professor Steve Smith welcomed the Sharjah Ruler who had enrolled and graduated from the university, citing the continuous contributions of Sheikh Sultan to University of Exeter, which was established in 1955.

Sheikh Sultan graduated from University of Exeter in 1985 in which he obtained PhD in History with honours. In 1993 he was awarded by the university a Honorary Doctorate.
