WAM Abu Dhabi, Apr 17th, 2012 (WAM)--Union Railway Company has hosted three successful workshops in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Um al-Qaiwain, Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah on cargo sector, logistics services and quarantines.

The move reflects the company's keenness on boosting work relations with main partners and local major companies. The workshops were part of a series of workshops held last September. The participants presented ideas and proposals on the best practices.

Engineer Shadi Malik, executive director for commercial affairs at Union Railway Company said "the workshops hosted by the company are main elements of our plan to communicate with strategic partners and exchange expertise on the best local and international practices." The Union Railway Network is an important part of the economic development vision for Western Region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE and GCC in general. The first phase of the project is underway in Western Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
