WAM Abu Dhabi, 16th April 2012 (WAM): Germany's EGM Environmental Solutions GmbH will conduct on Wednesday at Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi a demonstration on its breakthrough technology to produce new ecologically friendly fuel.
Dr. Hassan Bali, Group Scientific Advisor, told WAM that the live trial will showcase the EGM formula to produce two new types of diesel and kerosene using the EGM bounding system (EBS) technology.
In 2009, the company has announced that it successfully discovered a process of bounding CO2 into water to generate Carbon Enriched Water employing its vortex technology. The new Diesel produced from the process is of equivalent grade to that of MS 123-2:2011; having the full characteristics of the original Diesel input, with higher calorific value per liter of the same grade, resulting in higher performance.
The new diesel will also reduce emissions, since it will be burnt as H2O (water vapor), and Carbon, which means the total emissions of CO2 in the environment will also be reduced.
EGM has been able to do the blending on a ratio of 1 to 1 basis. These innovations will produce another breakthrough since it will tremendously reduce the total emissions by at least 50% and provide significant cost savings. Deployment of this technology will be a major assistance in relation to the on-going worldwide energy crisis and it will be a significant enabling solution for the developing countries.
''The new technology will have several strategic advantages as it will help oil producing countries to substantially boost their oil reserves,''he added.
He said representatives of governments of Saudi Arabia, India, Qatar, Sudan, Turkey, Columbia, Malaysia, and Malta will attend the demonstration.
The company has chosen the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a centre of its operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The company said the UAE will be a base for creative environmental technologies and solutions and a trade hub for enhanced environmentally-friendly fuel.
