WAM Riyadh, 16 April 2012 (WAM) - The Saudi Cabinet has expressed denunciation of the visit made recently by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the UAE Island of Abu Musa, occupied by Iran since 1971.

In a statement issued today following a regular session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi Cabinet said the visit was a flagrant violation of the UAE's sovereignty and a blow to the efforts made to arrive at a peaceful settlement to the issue of UAE's island either through direct negotiations or by referring it to the International Court of Justice.
