Ghobash chairs UAE delegation to second Ministerial Meeting of Abu Dhabi Dialogue- 2 in Manila

WAM Manila, April 16th, 2012 (WAM) -- Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour will chair a UAE delegation to the second Ministerial Consultations of '' Abu Dhabi Dialogue'' tomorrow in the Philippines capital, Manila.
President Benigno S. Aquino of the Republic of Philippines will open the meeting held at the International Convention Center in Manila.
Philippines' Department of Labor and Employment in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Labour has organized the second meeting which will see the participation of 14 ministers and over hundred senior officials from the Governments of the concerned States, including the GCC countries.
Meanwhile the senior officials of the participating countries will hold their second meeting titled ''Continuing the regional cooperation towards boosting Administration of Temporary Contractual Employment Cycle in Asia'', tomorrow in Philippines on Abu Dhabi Dialogue -2. Humaid Rashid bin Dimas, Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs will preside the UAE delegation in the meeting.
The Philippines Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz will inaugurate the meeting. The meeting will discuss and approve the findings of first meeting of senior officials held on January 25, 2012.
The UAE delegation will concentrate on discussing mechanisms of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in order to improve the management of contractual work cycle in the framework of exchanging expertise concerning best practices documented in the technical report to achieve the general trends under the fabric of regional cooperation to reach to an effective management of the foreign and temporary labors issues.
Representatives of 20 countries will participate in the main event, six of them are labor-receiving countries including UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait in addition to 11 labor-sending countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia , Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam as well as representatives of Malaysia, Singapore and Korea as observers.
The meeting will be attended by delegates from five international and regional organizations including the Executive Office of the Ministers of Labour in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and international labor organization, International migration, ESCWA and the International Forum on Migration and Development.
