Khalifa, Qaboos complete talks on topics of mutual interest

WAM Al Ain, 15th April 2012 (WAM) -- President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid today a visit to HM Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman in his place of residence at Shuaiba Rest House.

The two leaders completed discussion on an array of topics of mutual concern within the framework of bilateral ties between the two brotherly peoples. They asserted the importance of mutual communication and visits which deepen the exemplary fraternal bilateral bonds for the best interest of the two brotherly peoples.

Sheikh Khalifa and Sultan Qaboos watched folkloric performances and songs conducted by local troupes. They also heard an Omani poet reciting a poem, praising the deep-rooted close, historic ties between the UAE and Oman.

An Oud and Qanon band played selective pieces of musical compositions in honour of the royal guest's visit to his second home country.

The performances were also witnessed by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative, His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, a number of Sheikhs, ministers and top officials as well as the high-level official delegation accompanying Sultan Qaboos.
