Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church lauds UAE religious tolerance policy

WAM Abu Dhabi, April 15th 2012 (WAM) -- The Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church in Abu Dhabi has hailed UAE's role and efforts under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for religious tolerance, peace , brotherhood and co-existence among all religions.

It has also commended UAE leaders and officials in offering condolences to Egyptian and Coptic sect on the death of Pope Shenouda III.

The church described the move as a shining proof for the nobility of the UAE goals towards prevailing the culture of co-existence and tolerance.

Ishaq Al Anba Bishoy, Pastor of Al Anba Antonio Orthodox Coptic Cathedral Church in Abu Dhabi, on the occasion of Easter mass sermon last night expressed gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for their condolences on the death of Pope Shenouda III.
