WAM Abu Dhabi, Apr 12th, 2012 (WAM)--Dr. Hadef Joan Al Dahiri, Minister of Justice received in his office at the ministry today, the heads of participant delegations at the first conference of the Heads of the Supreme and Cassation Courts of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States (GCC), which began here yesterday and ends today.

Present was Judge Dr. Abdul Wahab Abdul, Chairman of the Federal Supreme Court and Chair of the current session.

Al Dhahiri welcomed the guests and participants of the important GCC judicial gathering held for the first time in the GCC. He stressed keenness of the UAE to host the event.

He referred to the GCC judicial integration work achievements, citing the consolidation of integral system of GCC joint work to unify the legislations and benefit from the GCC experiences.

The UAE minister expressed his wishes that good resolutions, which will be reached by the conference, will contribute to developing the GCC judicial system to become world's beacon of law prevalence and protection of freedoms.
