Samsung Enhances Education of Special Needs Students through Its New Technologies

WAM Dubai, 25th March 2012 (WAM) - Samsung Gulf Electronics and Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs announced at a press conference today, their strategy to integrate Samsung's technologies and products in Al Noor Centre education curriculum to enhance the learning and communication skills of students with special needs.
At the conference, Mr. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics and Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman of Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the �Samsung Hope for Children' program.
Under the renewed agreement, Samsung and Al Noor will embark on extensive activities this year, focusing on enabling students to learn more easily by integrating Samsung's technologies in classrooms.
Mr. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, said that Samsung is very excited to use its technologies to add value to Al Noor Centre and enhance the educational curriculum for students' with special needs.
He added, "This year, we are taking our partnership with Al Noor one step further by integrating our technologies and products into the curriculum. This integration will tap into the students' inherent capabilities to help them reach their full potential. This project is the beginning of a long term partnership with Al Noor, where we hope to create specific applications in the future to suit each student's needs." As part of the new Memorandum of Understanding, Samsung will play a holistic role to support the Center's cause. Under the �Samsung Hope for Children' program, Samsung will donate 50 of its latest GALAXY Tabs and 15 of its newly-launched SLATE PC Series 7. The devices will be integrated in the students' education curriculums to help them learn more intuitively.
"At Al Noor our long-term goal is to enhance literacy and communication for all the students at our training center. Through the valued support of our partner, Samsung Electronics, we are able to provide a better learning environment to our students with the integration of Samsung's technologies and products in our educational programs to help them learn more easily. The �Samsung Hope for Children' program gives us an opportunity to collaborate with Samsung on many different levels including fund-raising, education, volunteering and raising awareness for our cause," said Isphana Al Khatib, Director at Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.
The �Samsung Hope for Children' program increases the company's cause-related marketing focus to have greater impact on the two areas most affecting children: health and education.
