Abu Dhabi, 21 March 2012 (WAM) - Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received here today David Cohen, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury.

They discussed economic relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.

Sheikh Abdullah underlined the progress witnessed in the ties of friendship between the two countries.

For his part, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Treasury praised the progress made by the UAE and expressed his country's keenness to further develop ties with the UAE.

The meeting was attended by a number of Foreign Ministry officials and the U.S. Ambassador Michael Corbin.
