WAM DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum,deputy ruler of Dubai and UAE minister of finance on Tuesday received Manfred Wiebogen, President of ACI-The Financial Markets Association who is in the UAE to take part in the 51st ACI Financial Markets World Congress, to be held from 22 to 24 March, in Dubai.

The meeting discussed the agenda of the forthcoming congress which will be held for the first time in the Middle East.

More than 500 leading financial experts from 60 countries will get together at the event in Dubai to examine and analyse the state of financial markets and industry. The experts from major global financial institutions will also discuss the opportunities created in the region.

Wiebogen said there are big investment opportunities in the UAE in general and Dubai in particular.

In attendance at the meeting were sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
