|  | UAE Ambassador hails achievements of Global Forum on Migration and DevelopmentNov 8, 2009 - 02:17 - WAM Athens, Nov 8th 2009 (WAM)-- HE Abdul Hadi Al Khaja, UAE Ambassador to Greece, has hailed the important results achieved by UAE through its participation in the Global Forum on Migration and Development which was held last week in the Greece capital Athens. In an interview with the Emirates news agency "WAM", he said that the strong presence of UAE delegation in the Forum under the chairmanship of H.E Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour reflects the keenness of the wise leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to actively participate in all international forums to acquaint the world with the significant progress made by UAE in the field of economic and social development and workers' rights. "Thanks to the directives of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Affairs Minister in strengthening bilateral relations with the Republic of Greece on all political, economic, commercial, cultural and tourism levels", Al Khaja confirmed. He also stressed the importance of the results of the visit of Sheikh Abdullah, in which he met with Greek President resulted in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in economic, cultural and renewable energy fields along with activating the agreements signed between them. Moreover, he explained that a joint committee between the UAE and Greece at the ministerial level are being formed, besides agreements to prevent double taxation and protecting investments in both countries will soon be activated. He pointed out UAE's eagerness to encourage the private sector in both countries to invest and establish joint ventures identifying the positive results of mutual visits of officials from both sides which contributed to a number of agreements and common understandings.
