|  | Al Mansouri arrives in Istanbul on head of UAE delegation to COMCEC meetingsNov 6, 2009 - 05:53 - WAM Istanbul, Nov 06th, 2009 (WAM)--UAE Economy Minister HE Engineer Sultan Al Mansouri, arrived in Istanbul today, heading the UAE delegation to take part at the 35th meetings of the Permanent Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC).
Al Mansouri was received at the Istanbul International Airport by Eisa Abdullah Al Kalabani, UAE Consul General in Istanbul and a number of Turkish officials from the Ministry of Economy.
The UAE minister said in a statement the significance of convening the COMCEC meetingS at a time that requires solidarity among the OIC member countries in all fields, including the economic, trade and investment.
He reiterated that the UAE has been supporting the developmental issues in the Muslim countries to boost ties and back the OIC to enable it perform its duty in the best interest of the Muslim peoples.
