|  | Lubna Al Qasimi discusses investment cooperation with IndonesiaApr 6, 2009 - 06:32 - Dubai, Apr 06th, 2009 (WAM): Minister of Foreign Trade HE Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi and Indonesian Trade Minister Mary Elka Pangestu discussed here today, ways for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between UAE and Indonesia.
Director General of the MoFT Abdullah Al Saleh and Indonesian ambassador to UAE Mohammed Waheed also attended the talks.
Speaking to Emirates News Agency (WAM) shortly after the meeting, Al Saleh said that the talks between the two ministers focussed on ways for bolstering economic and trade relations between UAE and Indonesia. They also discussed the investment opportunities open to UAE in Indonesia, especially in the agricultural sector and the import of Indonesian food products.
Both sides reiterated the need for supporting bilateral trade between the two countries and encouragement of business partnerships for the mutual benefit of UAE and Indonesia.
Pangestu hailed the positive results of the visit made by UAE deputy prime Minister HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Indonesia earlier last month with the aim of strengthening fraternal relations and friendship between the two countries.
Sheikha Lubna and her Indonesian counterpart exchanged mementoes at the end of the talks.
