|  | Chechen Madov assassinated in Dubai Mar 28, 2009 - 10:23 - WAM DUBAI, Mar. 28th, 2009: A Chechen national at midday today was shot dead in Dubai.
"It looks like an assassination", stated Dubai Police Chief Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim, who immediately arrived at the scene.
"The murdered individual, identified as Sulaiman Madov, a Chechen born in 1973, was assassinated at the parking lot of the building where he lives", he said.
The killing, Khalfan added, indicates that the Madov was under close observation prior to his assassination.
"Security authorities already have leads to the crime", Tamim said.
Tamim was accompanied to the scene by the Head of the Directorate General of the State Security and Major General Khamis Mattar al-Mazinah, Deputy Chief of Dubai Police.
