Mar 14, 2009 - 06:42 -

WAM Abu Dhabi, 14th March 2009 (WAM): His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited yesterday the inaugural Abu Dhabi Yacht Show (ADYS), which features a multi-million dollar flotilla of some of the world's largest, and most spectacular SuperYachts.

Accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and HE Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by Frank Daillies, ADYS Group Director, about the maiden edition of the event.

Berthed at the new marina zone at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the fleet of 21 SuperYachts - some of which rank amongst the world's largest - are the most visible component of an expansive event which also features 98 exhibitors from 23 countries and which will run from March 12-14.

The exhibitor profile reads like a Who's Who' of yachting and features marina developers, marine suppliers, yacht builders, interior outfitters, charters, vessel registries, designers and private jet operators. They include: Platinum Yachts, with its 90m Dubai motor yacht - the largest yacht on show - Sea Pros Yachts, Custom Line, Wally Yachts, Westport, YachtPlus, ART Marine, Gulf Graft, XSMG Marine and Rodriguez, among others.

"The show encapsulates everything that will appeal to highly discerning SuperYacht owners and their lifestyle," said Frank Daillies, ADYS Group Director. "We look forward to welcoming our distinguished guests and visitors and promise them a truly once in a lifetime experience." ALDAR Properties and Horus Watches are the show's associate sponsors, Vistajet its official private jet sponsor and Rolls Royce its supporting partner. The Financial Times is the show's international newspaper partner and Al Arabiya its regional broadcast company.
