|  | Ajman Ruler praises UAE Balloon Team's achievementsApr 10, 2008 - 10:09 - WAM Ajman, April 10th, 2008 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, praised Thursday the role of the UAE Balloon Team for promoting UAE culture and progress abroad through its achievements at international hot air balloon festivals.
''Participation of the UAE balloonists at regional and international hot balloon championships is a national duty and a cause of celebration for all of us as this good act exhibits the bright image of the UAE progress,''Sheikh Humaid said as he received the team and its leader Abdul Aziz Nasser Al Mansouri.
The Ruler assured the team of all support from the UAE leadership for noble values and causes and urged them to maintain the momentum of success.
Al Mansouri briefed Sheikh Humaid on achievements the team has made during his tour of Asia, Europe, Australia, Britain and the Arab World and his present and future plans.
The team launched its first world tour under the theme ?The World Will Never Forget Zayed?. Decorated with the portrait of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the second balloon has been launched under the theme ''Khalifa ...the Leader''.
The team seeks to promote the sport and activity of hot air ballooning in the Middle East and around the world.The team ambassadors carry the peaceful message of the United Arab Emirates to other countries around the globe using the majesty and dignity of ballooning.
