Mohammed bin Zayed ends Libya visit

Tripoli, April 5th, 2008 (WAM) - General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces has ended a one-day visit to Libya during which he met with the Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Al Ghaddafi.

He was seen off at Tripoli airport by Saif Al Islam Muammar Al Ghaddafi, Chairman of Al Ghaddafi Development Foundation, Libyan General People's Committee Dr Al Baghdadi Al Mahmoudi Dr Abdul Hafiz Al Zaltini, Libyan Secretary of Planning, Mohammed Al Yas, Chairman of the Libyan Investment Fund Hamed Al Hudairi, and Abdullah Sulaiman Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to Libya.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the progressive ties between the UAE and Libya. He renewed the invitation of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Colonel Muammar Al Ghaddafi to visit the UAE.

Dr Al Baghdadi Al Mahmoudi lauded the "historic" relations between the two countries, thanks to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Colonel Muammar Al Qaddafi, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates.
