Tunisian leader confers highest order of honour on Sheikh Mohammed

Mohammed Tunis, Aug. 6th, 2007 (WAM): H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai held today close-door talks with Tunisian President Zine Al Abidine Ben Ali at the Presidential Palace in Carthage.

The two leaders exchanged views on ways of enhancing bilateral ties in the domains of economy, technology and culture so as to serve the best interest of the two fraternal peoples and achieve their aspirations.

The Tunisian President decorated Sheikh Mohammed with the Tunisa's highest order of honor in recognition of his tireless efforts to boost fraternal bonds between the two countries.

On his part, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his profound gratitude to the Tunisian President for his noble gesture and praised his sincere desire to extend bridges of communication between the two fraternal countries and their peoples.

Sheikh Mohammed began a two-day state visit to Tunisia today.
